Max goes climbing with James McHaffie

YCS Final, EICA Ratho, 28th June 2014
7 members of the Granite City Rock Stars headed south to take part in the YCS final. With over 300 competitors from all over the UK taking part, they found themselves up against some serious competition. |
Scottish Youth Bouldering Championship, TCA Glasgow, 5th April 2014.
Several of the Granite City Rock Stars travelled to Glasgow to take part in the SYBC. This is always a popular competition and some 92 competitors from all over the UK take part. 1st place to Rebecca Kinghorn in the Girls Youth B, 2nd place to Emma Heslop in the Girls Youth E and 3rd place to Max Milne in the Boys Youth B. Rebecca and Max were also crowned Scottish Champions. Full results are here. |
Scottish Schools Competition 2014
Several members of the Granite City Rock Stars took part in the qualification round of the Scottish Schools competition in Transition Extreme. Those who qualified were invited to the finals at Glasgow Climbing Centre on the the 8th of March.

Youth Climbing Series 2014, Round 3, The Ice Factor, Kinlochleven,
A good turnout of Granite City Rock Stars at round 3 in the Ice Factor, Kinlochleven, saw many exciting climbing and bouldering performances resulting in some great podium positions. As this was round 3 many had done enough to earn their positions in the Scotland North team, and a chance to participate in the final at EICA Ratho.
