Not really a club page but I wanted to put up the first pictures of my new AR15 from South Yorkshire Shooting Supplies (rimfiremagic).
It has a full size 5.56mm caliber Mil-Spec AR15 forged T6 aluminum lower made by Double Star, unmodified except for a Taccom insert pressure plug in the buffer tube. On top it has a Tactical Solutions dedicated AR-22 LT Mil-Spec upper with a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail and 23.2mm diameter 16 inch long aluminum barrel with a chrome moly rifled liner and threaded muzzle. It has a Tapco stock and Houge grip and free float aluminum fore-end. It came with a Black Dog X-form 25 round smoke polycarbonate magazine.
I've put a old scope on top for testing which needs replacing as it is fogged up and hard to see through. So far I've only managed to put a few hundred rounds down range. I've been using PMC Target22 standard velocity cartridges and they have been cycling perfectly, the only jam I've had is when I charged the gun and the first round went up where the gas key would sit. The rifle has shot under 1 inch groups at 25 yards but I'm having trouble with the old scope which needs replacing. Have been thinking about a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24.I've just bought some Dueck Defense offset Rapid Transition Sights (RTS). Find a short video at the bottom of the page, hope to do a full review when I get time. Also a video on colour filling the engraving on the lower receiver.
