I am an agricultural economist working predominantly on applied research at the interface between agricultural production, public policy and the environment. The majority of my research is motivated by science-based decision making and is often interdisciplinary in nature. I have a strong interest in the economics of conservation programs and practices, ecosystem services, information economics, choice modeling and economic management of spatial-dynamic processes in the environment.
I am currently the Acting Deputy Director of Research and Communications in the Resource and Rural Economics Division of the Economic Research Service in the United States Department of Agriculture.
