I have been to interview after interview but always came in second until I saw Graham for coaching. He went above and beyond to help me with interview skills and techniques that led me to be successful in getting the job.

Got the job thanks to your coaching. Thanks to your excellent tuition session and "The powerful pocketbook of interview skills" I was well prepared for my job interview today and succeeded in getting the job.

Powerful Pocketbooks

Got the books today.  Excellent!  I have interviewed dozens of people who would have benefited from reading them and certainly a lot of teacher and lecturers who should be made to look at the presentation one.

The powerful pocketbooks on interview and presentation skills are terrific little books.  After 30 years in education and the last 15 conducting interviews myself I can easily see how the clues in these books would have helped many interviewees to ‘sell themselves’ in the formal interview process.

‘Interview Skills’  offers many examples of  vital advice from the simple ‘be on time’, to the an analysis of seven key areas of questioning and managing the interview through effective body language and tone of voice.

The second book looks at presentation techniques and offers excellent pointers on how to make a formal presentation at interview. The sections are clear and concise and there is an excellent presentation checklist to round things off.   Many teachers and lecturers would benefit from the advice in this book, not just for interviews but in their everyday teaching to avoid ‘death by PowerPoint’.

I am sure these books can be used well by both interviewees and interviewers alike.  They contain suggestions, examples and useful mnemonics to assist in interview preparation in a concise and easy to read format.

The World Café event facilitated by Graham gave delegates from across the sector and world the opportunity to discuss topics relevant to our sector, it was a great start with almost 100 delegates involved in round table discussions it also gave our international visitors an indicator of how friendly and welcoming our Asra members are.

Throughout my life I have suffered from and struggled with severe shyness/borderline social phobia. As my career progressed I avoided anything that would put me in a stressful situation. It began to affect my work and home life.

After 4 sessions with Graham on a one-to-one basis, I began to feel more confident. The problem has not gone but I now have techniques to deal with it and I regularly put them into practice. I do not actively seek out situations but I no longer actively avoid them. Graham helped me enormously in learning how to cope and deal with things out of my comfort zone.

You coached me and shared your expertise and experience with me, especially motivating me (when I needed to remain positive) and even went beyond just moral support when I was completing the application form.

The interview, although tough, had no surprises for me as your insight of the likely questions allowed me to be fully prepared.

Thanks again Graham for all your help in my successful application and I really do believe it was you who made the difference.

When I was applying for my current job, Graham willingly gave me valuable advice on interview and presentation techniques which certainly helped me to secure the position. (Many thanks!)

Graham has been my coach since I first went into the world of work. He has helped guide me in the right direction to achieve my life goals. With Graham as my mentor I managed to achieve my NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration in less than 7months. Graham has helped me gain more confidence and be more assertive. He has passed on a great deal of skills that will be extremely useful in my lifetime.
