SVG Stuff

or: A web page that is trying to be cool and leading edge, but isn't quite there yet

I would like to put an SVG image here, the Google page creator informs me that most web browsers don't use that image type, and I should consider using jpeg, png, or gif.  The image is uploaded, but the facility to insert images doesn't recognise my new SVG file.

This is no longer true.  FireFox, Opera, Konqueror, Safari, and Amaya all support SVG.  IE does not support it natively, but it will with  the Adobe plugin, and it has been able to do this for a very long time.

It would be nice if the image loader were updated to handle SVG images.  I would suggest that the easiest way to do this would be with a 'png' thumbnail.  Also, it seems that [image/xml+svg svg svgz] the mime type, is not set in Googles servers.  This is an easy update.
