A Success!

The first WV Student Success Summit had approximately 200 participants including presenters.  Keynote presentations on “Effective Strategies for Increasing Graduation Rates”, “Increasing Student Engagement through Problem Based Learning and Technology” and “Effective Mentoring Programs”, assisted all participants in gaining knowledge and tools necessary to promote student success.  Breakout sessions allowed for more in-depth information including the sharing of resources and new innovative ideas.  Teams worked together throughout the two days to begin developing dropout prevention plans and strategies to target on or focus around this coming school year.  We hope you will plan to join us next year for the 2nd Annual WV Student Success Summit.

This website is designed to bring you resources, tools and innovative ideas around promoting student success and raising graduation rates in West Virginia.  It will serve as a network opportunity to share success stories and what is working in different regions, counties and schools of WV.  Please join our on-going discussions to keep up-to-date with latest research and best practices in dropout prevention.
