Grace Reformed Church, organized with 14 charter members on October 7, 1877, is committed to help make the Gospel of Jesus Christ relevant to the world through personal worship, witness, and work.  It traces its roots to the Protestant Reformation in Switzerland in the 16th century.
From the earliest days, the Congregation has made the historic creeds an integral part of its traditional worship with Gospel preaching and sacred choral and instrumental music.  The Church School also is Bible-centered.  Various opportunities abound for Christian fellowship and service.
The present Sanctuary was completed in 1903.  The exterior, with its stone shields of Zurich and Geneva and stone heads of the knight and burgher, symbolizes the illustrious history of the Reformed Church.  The simple beauty of the interior is enhanced by seven colorful stained glass windows depicting the life of Christ from the Visit of the Magi to the Ascension.
Special historic interest attaches to Grace Reformed Church because Theodore Roosevelt was a member while President of the United States, and often walked from the White House to attend Sunday morning worship services at Grace Church.  He laid the cornerstone of the present Sanctuary and delivered an address at its Dedication.  President Dwight D. Eisenhower attended a special Sunday morning worship service at Grace Reformed Church in October of 1958 that commemorated the 100th birthday anniversary of Theodore Roosevelt.
