I suppose it’s very Zen if a Zen story isn’t Zen at all, but Taoist and Confucian. I’ve just added such a story to the Quotations page, called Zen Story: Objectvity and Subjectivity. How do we know what we know? How do we really know whether others really know what they know? Tolerance and perspective are valuable lessons to learn, in life and in poetry. At the very least, such is the realm, it seems to me, of poetic truth.
