Men's NCAA Tournament Ticket Lottery
With March Madness quickly approaching, in preparation for the possibility of Duke Men’s Basketball being selected to play in the NCAA Tournament, Duke is offering the chance for students to preregister for tickets to one nearby site.
If Duke is fortunate enough to be selected to play in Raleigh, North Carolina for the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the NCAA Tournament on March 21 & 23 at the PNC Arena, students will have the opportunity to enter a lottery to purchase tickets to these games. Registration to enter the lottery will take place at the Duke Athletic Ticket Office in the main lobby of Cameron Indoor Stadium this Tuesday, March 4, from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. Tickets to each of the two Duke sessions will be approximately $86.00/session/ticket. Students will only be able to submit payment via a valid MasterCard or Visa – credit cards will only be charged if the student has won the right to purchase a ticket. Note that Tuesday, March 4 will be the only date to enter the student lottery for NCAA 2nd and 3rd round tickets in Raleigh. Lottery winners will be announced via email no later than midnight, Sunday, March 16. The NCAA does not provide a ticket to the Sunday games until a team wins on Friday and advances to the third round. Should Duke win on Friday, you will automatically be charged the same price for your ticket and it will be available at the PNC Arena Duke will-call window on Sunday.
If Duke is not selected to play in the Raleigh opening rounds, or if student demand for tickets exceeds our ticket allotment and a lottery takes place and you are not selected, credit card numbers will not be charged.
Please direct any questions about preregistration to Zach White at email@example.com.
What does the Duke University GPSC Basketball Committee do, and who are they?
The Duke University GPSC Basketball Committee organizes and runs GPSC Basketball Campout (known as Campout), which is both an event and a process for distributing season tickets to the Men's home basketball games. All Duke Graduate and Professional students are welcome to join the committee, and we are always looking for new volunteers and ideas for Campout. To join and learn more about the Committee, sign up for the listserv, check out the Campout policy, take the Safety Pledge, and read about us using the links on the left. There are a number of ways to get involved and volunteer and the degree of involvement is up to the individual. Check out our meeting and events schedule to start volunteering. If your student group would like to sell anything during Campout as a fundraiser, please fill out a vendor application. To stay involved with Duke Basketball all year long, become a Graduate Student Usher. Campout wouldn't be possible without tremendous support from the Duke Graduate & Professional Student Council.
What is Campout?
eligibility, registration, exemptions, how to have an RV and more can be found using the links on the left. Also, be sure to check out both what you should bring to ensure you have a great time and the rules associated with a season ticket card. All of the information linked on the left is very important. Please check back regularly for updates.
Students who do not have season ticket cards can still attend games. There is a walk-up line at every home game for students without season ticket cards. While admission is not guaranteed, every effort is made to get as many students from the walk-up line into each home game.
As you can see, students don't just sit around doing nothing for the weekend. We have many great activities which include supporting Duke Athletic Events, Community Service, a Silent Auction supporting Durhan charities and other great Entertainment Events. You may have also seen in the video that sometimes we are lucky enough that Coach K and the team come to visit.
