General References and Sources

There are many families that were provided by individuals on the Daniel-List or via the Internet.  They do not always have complete proof or full documentation for their data.  With this in mind, you will see various family formats based upon individual studies.  Where proof is offered, that proof will be provided. Also, some of the sources may not be available due to various happenings such as death and loss.  My works begun in 1996 would may be very difficult to duplicate; therefore, the DNA Project can be very valuable for the future.

General References: "Genealogies of Virginia Families" from Tyler's Quarterly, Vol. 1, A-G. 1981; John Daniel , Sr., 1724-1819, by Mrs. Christine S. Gee; and Families of the Southern States, by Charles Brunk Heinemann, 1949.  Mrs. Gee’s work on her John Daniel has been questioned as far as a connection to James Daniel of Essex., is concerned; therefore,  I would like to see where the DNA connects that individual?
