3M Steering Team (L-R): Dr. Michael McGill, Andra Tanase, Annette Giertsen, Matilda Flemming, Claire O'Kane
A coalition of diverse NGOs and experts met in The Hague from 19-21 August to kick off a ground-breaking evaluation of children and youth peacebuilding programs. The so-called "3M" (multi-country, multi-donor, multi-agency) evaluation seeks to identify the impact of children and youth peacebuilders to sustainable peace. With generous support from the Norwegian government, the Steering Team has set in motion community consultations with and by children and youth in Nepal, DRC, and Colombia that will begin in October 2014 and conclude by June 2015.

Representatives from Search for Common Ground, Save the Children, World Vision, PATRIR, and the United Network of Young Peacebuilders met with two expert consultants (Claire O'Kane and Dr. Michael McGill) to launch the research activities in Nepal, DRC, and Colombia.
