# [May 4th, 2024] We published a new paper; Nyirimana et al. "Morphological variation of tail bone among two chicken breeds and their F1 progeny." in Journal of Morphology

# [September 20th, 2023] Mr. Prudence Nyirimana and Mr. Keisuke Kurachi received English Presentation Award in the 131st Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Animal Science for presentations entitled “Morphological traits in an intercross population based on Ko-shamo and Minohikichabo chickens" and "Strain differences of egg size traits using three strains of quail". # [Aug 2nd, 2023] We published a new paper; Goto et al. "Establishment of wild-derived strains of Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica) in field and laboratory experiments." in Biology.

# [June 1st, 2023] We published a new paper; Kawamura et al. "Housing systems affect eggshell lightness and free amino acid contents of egg albumen in Tosa-jidori chickens: a preliminary research." in Animals.

# [January 25th, 2023] We published a new paper; Kawamura et al. "Combined effect of feed and housing system affects free amino acid content of egg yolk and albumen in brown layer chickens" in Journal of Poultry Science

# [September 16th, 2022] Ms. Nonoka Kawamura received English Presentation Award in the 130th Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Animal Science for a presentation entitled “Genetic parameter estimates for size, weight, color, and amino acid of egg in Hinaidori chickens”. # [August 23-26th, 2022] Ms. Nonoka Kawamura received JSAS Excellent Presentation Award from Japanese Society of Animal Science for a presentation entitled "Heritability estimates of egg traits and yolk amino acid traits in Hinaidori chickens" on The 19th Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production (AAAP) Animal Science Congress (2022), 23-26 August 2022, Jeju, Korea. # [July 11th, 2022] We published a new paper; Kondoh et al. "Morphological variations of caudal skeleton between three chicken breeds" in Journal of Veterinary Medical Science.

# [June 22th, 2022] Tatsuhiko GOTO had an invited talk entitled "Mapping quantitative trait loci for egg traits using several Japanese indigenous chickens" in a workshop of 'Applications of Multi-Omics Technologies for Poultry Breding' PAG ASIA 2022, Online Conference, China. We appreciate Prof. Hui Zhang at Northeast Agricultural University for organising the workshop. 

# [January 25th, 2022] We published a new paper; Ono et al. "Phenotypic analysis of growth and morphological traits in miniature breeds of Japanese indigenous chickens" in Journal of Poultry Science

# [December 8th, 2021] We published a new paper; Goto et al. "Genotype affects free amino acids of egg yolk and albumen in Japanese indigenous breeds and commercial Brown layer chickens" in Poultry Science

# [November 19th, 2021] We opened a special lecture entitled "Genetic diversity and the architectures of adaptation and incompatibility" by Dr. John Pool from University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, at the Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Obihiro, JAPAN. 

# [November 13th, 2021] Mr. Michiru Ohtani received Presentation Prize from the Japanese Society of Animal Breeding and Genetics for a presentation entitled “Relationship between crest phenotype and structural variant of HOXC10 in Jitokko chickens”. Congratulations, Michiru!  [HP]

# [November 27th, 2020] Tatsuhiko GOTO received "Japan Prize of Agricultural Science, Achievement Award for Young Scientists" towards the researches entitled "Identification of genetic basis underlying egg and growth traits in chickens" from The Foundation of Agricultural Sciences of Japan.  The University's HP

"Causal phenotypic networks for egg traits in an F2 chicken population" in Molecular Genetics and Genomics

# [August 22th, 2019] Tatsuhiko GOTO had a talk entitled "Breed and Feed effects on egg composition in chickens" in the meeting of rearing management for meat-type chickens at Hokkaido Research Organization, Shintoku, JAPAN. 

# [November 2nd, 2018] We opened a 1-day special seminar "Current Research on Big Data and Precision Livestock Production" by Prof. Guilherme Rosa from University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, at the Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Obihiro, JAPAN. 

# [January 22th, 2018] Tatsuhiko GOTO had a talk entitled "Genetic and Environmental Effects on Behaviors in Mice" in the special lecture at the National Institute for Environmental Studies, Tsukuba, JAPAN. 

# [October 25th, 2017] Tatsuhiko GOTO had a presentation entitled "Causal Phenotype Networks for Egg Traits in Chickens" in the 20th JAB Special Seminar at the Japanese Avian Bioresource Project Research Center, Hiroshima University, Higashi-Hiroshima, JAPAN. 

# [May 1st - September 30th, 2017] Tatsuhiko GOTO joined a research team of Animal Breeding and Genetics in University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA as a J-1 visiting researcher for collaborative researches supported by the Research Center for Global Agromedicine in Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Obihiro, JAPAN. 

# [February 13th, 2017] We organized a special lecture entitled “Searching for Gene Function Using Wild-Derived Strains of Mice: Researches for Disease-Related Genes and Animal Domestication” by Dr. Tsuyoshi KOIDE from National Institute of Genetics, at the Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Obihiro, JAPAN.

# [November 28th, 2016] Tatsuhiko GOTO had a presentation entitled "Searching for Genetic Loci Affecting Eggshell Coloration Using Whole Genome Sequencing with a Variety of Chicken Breeds" in the 17th JAB Special Seminar at the Japanese Avian Bioresource Project Research Center, Hiroshima University, Higashi-Hiroshima, JAPAN.
