Gordon Brebner was a Senior Fellow at AMD, located in San Jose, California in the USA, until retiring in October 2024.  Based in AMD Research & Advanced Development, he contributed to corporate vision and strategy in the general area of distributed systems and networking.  Gordon worked at the University of Edinburgh in the UK before moving to Silicon Valley in October 2002, and keeps a continuing active connection as an Honorary Professor in the School of Informatics at the university.
