Welcome Mothers of the Classes of 2019, 2018, 2017, and 2016!

 

Welcome, and thank you for choosing to join or renew your annual membership to the Gonzaga Mothers Club (GMC).  The GMC is open to mothers, guardians of Gonzaga students, and those friends and benefactors of the school who wish to participate in or contribute to the Mothers Club Activities. 

How to Register or Renew Your Annual GMC Membership:

TWO STEP PROCESS:  both steps must be completed in order for your membership to become effective.

A. Complete the electronic form below including the volunteer portion. (Each opportunity is described below - just keep scrolling down.  You will be contacted by the chairperson before each event.)  

B. After clicking the SUBMIT button, please pay $29 to GMC using one of these methods:

Pay online with credit card via Square (preferred method) 

Pay at a GMC meeting by check or via secure credit card reader

Mail Check Payable to Gonzaga Mothers Club to:

Once you join or renew your annual membership you will be connected with the GMC!

 

Receive the monthly e-Newsletter, and emails with news and information

Attend the GMC meetings held every second Wednesday of the month in the cafeteria

Learn about opportunities to help with activities which support our sons and the Gonzaga community

Enjoy the support and friendship of other Gonzaga Moms who will share information and sage advice

Know the appreciation of both our wonderful sons and the entire Gonzaga community.

Welcome Back Faculty and Staff Luncheon 8/17/15
Help set up, decorate, serve and clean up at a luncheon for Gonzaga faculty and staff members.
 
New Families Welcome Picnic 8/18/15
Help set up and serve refreshments for incoming freshmen and transfer parents and students.
 
Mass of Thanksgiving 11/15/15
Help set up and clean up the reception that follows Mass.
 
Open House Hostess 11/22/15
Greet potential new parents and their sons at Gonzaga's annual Open House
 
Christmas Gala on 12/5/15  Summer, Fall 2015
Solicit donations, sell ads for program, make decorations, address invitations, help to set up or work at Gala as a check-in or bid entry person, cashier or spotter. For Christmas Gala, please also visit www.gonzagagala.org/vounteer.html
 
Mother/Son Celebration 3/6/16
Help plan this special event and/or set up and decorate the Saturday prior to the Mother-Son brunch which follows Mass.
 
International Food Fair 4/13/16
Send in food donation and/or help organize, re-heat, sell and serve food during this fundraiser for Gonzaga's Foreign Language Department.

Summer Send Off Faculty and Staff Luncheon 6/1/16
Help set up, decorate, serve and clean up at a luncheon for Gonzaga faculty and staff.
 
Baccalaureate Reception 6/4/16
Help decorate, set up and clean up a beautiful reception for families of graduating seniors after the Baccalaureate Mass.
 
New Mothers Luncheon 6/8/16
Help decorate, set up, welcome new moms and clean up at the luncheon for incoming moms.
 
Service Opportunities
McKenna Center  November - April
Make a meal for 10 – 12 men between November and April; and/or collect toiletries and needed items, and/or help with McKenna Center bake sales on 10/28/15 and 4/27/16.
 
Get Acquainted Parties  August, September, October 2015
Upperclassman parents host a get-together for new Gonzaga parents and/or families.
  
Freshman Retreat 1/15/16 - 1/17/16 
Donate and/or serve meals throughout the Freshmen Retreat weekend and during student leader training in weeks prior to the retreat; and/or transport freshmen during the afternoon of Saturday, 1/16/16.
 
Mothers Day Flowers  5/6/16
Send in flowers for residents of JB Johnson Nursing Home and/or help with delivery of flowers by Gonzaga students.
 
Mentor New Families  Summer, Fall 2016
Contact new Gonzaga families individually to welcome and support them throughout their first year.
 
Family Support -as needed throughout the year
Deliver treats to students who are ill or injured and prepare meals for Gonzaga families in need.
 
Adopt a Family  November-December 2015
Shop for and wrap gifts for a needy family using a family wish list provided by Campus Ministry and Sister Seton; can be done with other Gonzaga moms, neighbors, or sports groups/clubs.
 
GMC Photography - throughout the year
Help photograph Gonzaga Mothers' Club events.
 
Hospitality: Cooks and Hostesses Needed
Back to School Night  9/3/15
Send in sweet or salty snacks for parents. 
 
Freshman Parent Nights  10/6/15
Send in sweet or salty snacks or sandwiches for freshman parent meetings. 
 
Sophomore Parent Nights  1/12/16
Send in sweet or salty snacks or sandwiches for sophomore parent meetings. 

Junior Parent Nights  10/15/15
Send in sweet or salty snacks or sandwiches for  junior parent meetings. 

Senior Parent Nights 10/8/15; 11/5/15; 3/31/16

Parent Snacks for Parent/Teacher Conferences  (10/22/15, 1/13/16, 3/10/16)
Send in sweet or salty snacks for parents attending conferences.
 
Faculty Dinner before Parent/Teacher Conferences  (10/22/15, 1/13/16, 3/10/16)
Help set up, serve and clean up meals for faculty prior to Parent Teacher Conferences.
 
Student Christmas Cards and Treats (12/9/15)
Send in dessert treats and/or Christmas cards for students; and/or help to distribute treats and assist students in signing Christmas cards for nursing home residents during school day.
 
Faculty Treats (September 2015-May 2016)
Provide breakfast to our faculty and staff on the first Friday of each month, except September, December.
 
JOIN THE GMC IGNATIAN REFLECTION AND PRAYER GROUP (September 2015- May 2016)
A morning prayer and reflection group held on the second Friday of the month for mothers and guardians who desire a better understanding of Ignatian spirituality through books, conversation and prayer.
