Gonzaga offers Parent Teacher Conferences three times during the school year, soon after report cards are distributed. Each teacher sits at a designated seat in either the gym, lower commons, cafeteria, or upper commons at tables organized by department. Parents wishing a conference will line up in front of a teacher to wait their turn. Teachers and parents usually talk for about 3 minutes. Parents are welcome to conference with any or all of their sons' teachers including those teaching subjects where the student is performing well.
The Gonzaga Mothers' Club provides light refreshments in the cafeteria during Parent Teacher Conferences for parents who are coming from work and carpooling. Volunteers send in light snacks and dessert in addition to assisting with set up, replenishment of food, and clean up.
The GMC also provides dinner to the faculty and staff in the JDR before conferences begin. On the event day, volunteers are needed to help set up, serve, and clean up.
