Only one volunteer slot is still available. It is Friday from 3:45 p.m. to 6 p.m. serving dinner to our boys.
Please double check the SignUp Genius (link) for your assignments. Reminder emails will also be sent.
If you are serving Saturday lunch (11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.) and plan to park in the garage, you must park along the perimeter.
The center of the garage is the staging area for Dad drivers.
Freshman parents, please make the time to join your son Friday evening for one of the weekend highlights, the Parent Exchange, and then enjoy time to gather with each other at the parent reception following. We look forward to seeing so many of you there.
Please remember to keep our freshmen and our student leaders in your prayers during this very special time of brotherhood and spiritual renewal.
Thank you in advance to all our volunteers who will be assisting during our upcoming Freshman Retreat weekend (1/13-1/15).

Gonzaga Freshman Retreat 2017
Thank you for signing up to assist us with the Freshman Retreat. Gonzaga mothers play an important role in the success of this retreat, which is scheduled for the weekend of Jan. 13-15, 2017. This is a spiritual weekend for our freshmen and a leadership opportunity for our sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The retreat leaders and the grounds crew begin training on Sunday afternoons several weeks prior to the retreat. On those Sundays, WE NEED YOUR HELP at lunch time with food donations, set up, serving, and clean up of the meals. You can make or buy the food. We will be serving 70-100 people depending on the day so we plan on catering the main dish, with the exception of our December 4, 2016 training where we are seeking donations of homemade or purchased baked ziti. During the retreat weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Jan. 15 through Jan. 17, we are looking for food servers for the boys' meals and the freshman parents' supper. Note: this is Martin Luther King Weekend, and there are no classes on Friday. Our greatest need is always Friday afternoon/evening when we serve the boys at 4:45 p.m. and parents at 6:45 p.m. Please consider signing up for one or both of these time slots. Freshman parents: Please note that Friday evening you will be invited to take part in the retreat so we ask that you not volunteer for this time slot. Please click on the date or dates that work best for you. Please do not cancel your commitment but you may request a date swap if necessary (on signup page). If you have any questions, please email Lisa Opipari-Arrigan or Annmarie Edwards at email@example.comLocation: Cafeteria

As the preparations are made for the retreat, the GMC provides Sunday lunches to the team leaders (upperclassmen at Gonzaga) during their training.
The retreat officially begins on Friday, January 13, and this is when the GMC will roll into action. Our role for the retreat is to handle the set up, serving and clean up for the following meals: Friday lunch (for retreat leaders and grounds crew), Friday dinner (for all freshmen, retreat leaders and grounds crew), Friday evening Parent Reception (250 people), Saturday breakfast (leaders and grounds crew), Saturday Lunch (freshmen and grounds crew), Saturday Special lunch (leaders), snacks for the chaperones, Sunday breakfast (all freshmen, leaders, and grounds crew), and Sunday lunch (leaders and grounds crew). In addition, we supply treats to all freshman parent drivers. GMC and GFC provide the drivers. GFC provides the overnight chaperones.
Special Note: This is a retreat designed for the boys so we do our best to stay in the background and let our boys enjoy this time with their friends and their leaders. Freshman parents are welcome to help out on Saturday and Sunday. Please be aware that on Friday evening you have your own activities.
