I have seen curling on the telly, how do I get started?”

We have the answer to your question - Gremlins coaching at Murrayfield Curling Rink.

The coaching sessions run most Sundays during the curling season and start on Sunday 25th September 2016 until Sunday 19th March. See date exceptions at the bottom of the page.

You will have an hour on the ice with a qualified instructor, in small groups of a similar ability. We will teach you how to curl, how to play a game and there are even Skills Awards to participate in too, taking you from complete novice to an experienced junior tour pro!

All sessions start at 8.15am and will finish at approximately 09.30am.

The charge is £2.00 per session payable on the day, all of which goes directly to club funds. Your first session is free so why not come along and try curling.

Please arrive at 8.15 for registration and warm up.

For new curlers, please note:

Clothes should be warm and comfortable; e.g. track suit / jogger trousers, sweat shirts. You can get quite warm curling so best to bring a few layers to begin with.

Footwear should be very clean, and should not be worn to the curling rink. Trainers are normally ideal. The coaches can advise you on this.

All other equipment is provided – stones, brushes, etc.

Recommended minimum age is 8 years old.

Don’t forget, for those kind enough to bring you along, the Murrayfield café will be open for teas, coffees and fantastic morning rolls.
