Goalball Australia oversees programs for national teams in Mens, Womens, Youth Boys and Youth Girls. In addition there is also a junior division at the Goalball Australia National Championships. Players are eligible for junior competition aged 10 - 14 years, and Youth Competition up to the age of 19.
In addition, Goalball Australia (via our state members) oversees the annual Australian Goalball Championships and the Australian Invitational Championships.

Australian Mens Program
Head Coach: Greg Scott
The Australian Mens team (Aussie Storm) have undergone a resurgence over the past 18 months and finished 4th at the 2017 Asia-Pacific Regional Championships held in Thailand in August. The Storm finished their pool matches undefeated, along the way beating China (World #4), Japan (World #14) and Iraq (World #20). They then went on to defeat Kazahstan in the quarter-finals, before their only 2 losses of the tournament in the semi final (China) and the Bronze medal playoff (Japan).
The boys are looking forward to further building on their success in 2018 as they ramp up plans to qualify for the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo. 2018 will also see a number of young players step up from youth into senior ranks. You can follow the boys on Aussie Storm Facebook Page
Australian Womens Program
Head Coach: Peter Corr
After getting a late call up to the 2016 Rio Paralympics, the Australian Womens Team (The Belles) had their best performance at a Paralympic games and finished 9th. At the 2017 Asia-Pacific Regional Championships held in Thailand in August, the Belles had another solid tournament, defeating Thailand and South Korea and drawing with Iran in their pool matches. They went on to defeat South Korea again to bring home the Bronze Medal.
The girls are looking forward to ramping up their preparations throughout 2018 to qualify for the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. Like the men, the Belles will welcome a number of new faces transitioning out of youth into senior ranks over the coming 12 months.

Australian Youth Girls
Head Coach: Murray Elbourn
The Australian Youth Girls (Aussie Glow) are the current Youth World Champions, after taking out the 2017 Youth World Championships held in Budapest in July. The Aussie Glow are the first Australian team to win a World Championship tournament at any level. A number of the girls, will now transition into the senior Belles squad, which will further strengthen their program towards Tokyo 2020. The Glow will hit 2018 on a high, working towards the defence of their title at the 2019 Youth World Championships.
