FIRE COMMISSION

On December 20, 2010, the Towns’ people of Lyman and Dayton entered into an Inter-local Agreement for the Joint Operation and Management of Fire and Emergency Services. The Inter-local agreement directs the Boards of Selectmen to appoint a 7 member Joint Fire-Rescue Board as the governing board of the joint fire and emergency services department. Come to be known as the Lyman-Dayton Fire Commission, this joint board is charged with the administration and oversight of the joint fire and emergency service department or Goodwins Mills Fire-Rescue.

The Fire Commission meets regularly at the Goodwins Mills Fire Station.
