GMAC provides an opportunity for all swimmers, regardless of age or ability, to reach their highest personal potential as both a person and athlete. We will emphasize individual and team growth, by guiding participants through an aquatics program that stresses a thorough knowledge of the sport, a healthy lifestyle and spirit of sportsmanship.
2015 - 2016 Swimming Season
New swimmer information: New swimmers must be evaluated by a GMAC coach prior to registering to
ensure that they are placed in the level appropriate for their
skill. When you arrive at the pool, tell the attendant at the front desk that you are there for a
GMAC swim team evaluation. Upon completion of the evaluation, the GMAC
coach will let you know what level is appropriate for your swimmer. You
may then register and pay online. All practices will be at the
Great Mills Pool. USA Swimming registration is MANDATORY for ALL GMAC swimmers.
Please note that swimmers must be at least 5 years old and be able to cross the Great Mills Pool with assurance and have some basic stroke knowledge of freestyle and backstroke. We will not accept any swimmers under 5 years old under any circumstances. In case of bad weather, please check pool status by contacting the Great Mills Pool at 301-866-6560.
