Equine Sciences

The Gloucester County 4-H Equine Science club is for youth who want to learn many aspects of the horse and how to work as a team member. Participants enhance their study skills by using selected reference materials to prepare for the NJ 4-H State events for Horse Bowl, Horse Judging and Hippology. Study topics include equine anatomy, conformation, feed and nutrition, evolution, breed characteristics, reproduction, horse management, way-of-going, tack and equipment, styles of riding and the exhibition of horses.  If interested in joining, contact the 4-H office at 856-307-6450 x3.
