Alcohol

As your local hosts, the Yale University Chaplain’s Office aspires to model radical hospitality for all of the attendees of the conference.  We endeavor to be truly inclusive of all religious and spiritual traditions and personal experiences.  For many of us, alcohol is a central part of our sacramental rites and social festivities. For many others, it is strictly forbidden.  As such, alcohol will not be offered at our on-campus events, including the opening and closing banquets. For those who look forward to meeting friends over drinks, you will find many bars close by in our lively college town.  There will also be a cash bar during dinner on the excursion to Mystic Seaport.  We encourage all participants to bring edible goodies from their individual locales to the Global Market event to be held on Monday evening 6/25 along with information about their ministries and hometowns. We will also provide local resources for those in recovery to support all participants during this five day celebratory gathering.
