  • Eagles Fall Four Points Short In Regional Bid
    The Eagles were primed to qualify to their third
    straight Regional Meet, however despite the fact
    that three Eagles run sub 17:00 the Eagles would
    fall four points short of qualifying to Regionals. Josh
    Duffie and Grant Holland qualified as individuals to
    next weeks Regional Championship in Boardman.

  • Eagles Come Up Big At League Championships
    The Golden Eagles battled in the very competitive
    Federal League Championships on Saturday. Two of
    the six league teams were ranked going into Saturday
    and the Eagles had a big fight in front of them. When
    the last Eagle crossed the GlenOak High School XC 
    course for the third time this season it was clear that 
    the Eagles had stepped up big. The Eagles finished
    second for the second time in in three years. Nick
    Beule, Josh Duffie and Grant Holland earned First
    Team All-League Honors. Zach deVries and Jason
    Nagy earned Honorable Mention All-League. The JV
    Eagles continued their domination by taking first for 
    the fourth week in-a-row. Thirteen Eagles ran All-Time
    Personal Records. Next week the Eagle compete in the
    District Championships at Malone University.

  • Eagles Battle Hard To Place 4th At Stow
    The GOXC Eagles competed against cold, rain, mud
    and PVC pipe to place 4th at the Stow Invitational. Led
    by Nick Beule, Josh Duffie, Zach deVries, Alex Nupp
    and Jacob Murphy the Eagles faced a strong field of
    runners to take 4th (3rd among Ohio teams). Jacob Heid
    (pictured above) took a PVC pipe to the eye while racing
    and had to get 4 stitches, however he battled though to 
    finish the race strongly. The JV Eagles led by the first place
    finish of Jason Nagy placed 1st overall (for the third week 
    in-a-row). Next the Eagles return home to GlenOak to host
    the 2014 Federal league Championship. Come support
    the Eagles.

  • Eagles Have Good Day At Stark County Championships
    GOXC Runners have a good day at the Stark County
    Cross Country Championships. The Eagles finished
    5th out of 20 teams, led by Grant Holland, Nick Beule,
    and Josh Duffie ran strong to help the Eagles to the
    strong finish. The GOXC JV team finished first with a
    dominating performance. Led by Tyler Pace, Alex Nupp,
    Brian Evans, Gage Feola, Frankie Janowicz, John Bowen 
    and Paul Murray, the JV Eagle ran great to place 1st with
    a score of 29 points. The Eagles had 19 runners run All-Time
    Personal Records and had all but one runner run faster
    then they ran in the 2014 Eagle Invitational. The Eagles
    travel to Stow on Saturday to compete in the Stow Invitational.

  • Great Day For GOXC At 46th Malone Invitational
    Eagles Take Second At Malone Invitational
    The Golden Eagle runners traveled to Malone on Saturday to run
    in the 46th Annual Malone Invitational. The Varsity Eagles led by 
    Grant Holland, Nick Beule, Josh Duffie, Jason Nagy and Zach deVries
    placed second, 8 points behind first place Louisville. The Eagles had 
    six total All-Time Personal Records and ten 2014 Season Records.
    The JV Eagles finished first overall. Led by Jacob Murphy, Jacob Heid,
    Alex Nupp, Frankie Janowicz and John Bowen, finished with 17 points;
    only 2 points short of a perfect score of 15. It was a great day for all
    of the running Eagles. Next week GlenOak will host the Stark County
    Cross Country Championships. Come support the GOXC runners.

  • GOXC Eagles Struggle At Boardman
    The GOXC Eagles traveled to Boardman on Saturday to
    compete at the Spartan Invitational. With six State ranked 
    teams in the varsity race the opportunity to compete against
    a strong field of runners was great. With a few runners under 
    the weather and one runner (N. Beule) mentally exhausted
    from taking the ACT early in the morning the Eagles struggled
    to an 11th place finish in a field of 37 teams. Josh Duffie ran
    his best race of the season along with strong performances
    from Zach deVries, Tyler Pace and Jason Nagy to help stop a 
    complete GOXC meltdown. 
    The JV runners ran great, finishing 3rd out of 35 teams. The JV
    runners led by Gage Feola, Brian Evans, Frankie Janowicz, 
    John Bowen and Paul Murray ran smart races and used their
    strong pack to finish 3rd in a large field (553 Runners in total).
    The Eagles travel to Malone on Saturday to compete in the Malone 
    Invitational. Come support the Golden Eagle Runners.

  • Eagles Take Third At Muddy Walsh Jesuit Invitational
    Boys GOXC team takes 3rd at a very muddy Walsh Jesuit Invitational.
    Varsity team led by Nick Beule and Grant Holland finish behind Lake
    and Louisville. The Eagles pushed hard through sloppy course conditions
    to finish one place better then they did in 2013. The JV runners took first out
    of a field of 16 teams, led by Gage Feola's first place finish, Brady Winkler's
    10th place finish. In the Ninth Grade only race the young Eagle runners 
    place 3rd, led by Brian Evans, Frankie Janowicz, Matt Elsfelder and Nat
    Devis. The Eagles saw 21 season personal records and 9 All-Time
    personal records. It was an amazing day for the GOXC team and a great
    indication of how deep our XC program is. Next week we travel to Boardman
    to run in the Spartan Invitational.

  • Eagles Continue To Run Strong At Marlington
    The Golden Eagles traveled to Marlington on Saturday
    to compete in the Marlington Invitational. The Eagles 
    finishing second behind a strong Lake team. The Eagles
    were led by Grant Holland, Nick Beule and Josh Duffie; with
    the top two Eagle runners going sub-17:00. Rounding out 
    the top seven were Tyler Pace, Jason Nagy, Zach deVries
    and Jacob Heid. Fifteen runners ran lifetime personal records,
    and thirty-one runners ran faster then they ran at the Golden 
    Eagle Invitational. The Running Eagles travel to the Walsh
    Jesuit Invitational next Saturday. Good luck and Congratulations
    for a great day at Marlington.

  • Eagles Start Season Off Strong At Golden Eagle Invitational
    The Boys GOXC team started the year off strong with a third place finish out of a
    field of 32 teams at the Golden Eagle Invitational. Led by the fifth place finish of Grant
    Holland the Eagles beat 4 teams ranked in the State Pre-Season Poll. Rounding
    out the Top 7 was Nick Beule, Josh Duffie, Tyler Pace, Zach deVries, Jason Nagy 
    and Jacob Heid. The Varsity B team, led by Jacob Heid's 91st place finish, finished
    22nd out of 32 teams.The JV Eagles finished 7th out of 22 teams and were led by 
    Ben Seger and Brian Gupton. The Golden Eagles travel to Marlington next Saturday
    to compete in Marlington Invitational. Congratulations to all GOXC runners!
