26th November: Lexie Green / Soundpost / Ren / Joshua Ardy Francis

Lexie Green and The Indigo Blue
Lexie Green is an Americana/Alt. Country UK songwriter from the Cambridgeshire Fens.  With multiple album releases, all to critical success, BBC Introducing and 6 Music airplay and international songwriting awards.  Performing around the UK as the 4 piece 'Lexie Green & The Indigo Blue',  they've been rapidly gaining the respect of venues, radio stations and promoters everywhere they play, with an ever increasing worldwide fan base and songs that are super catchy, foot tapping, with heartfelt lyrics and sung with soul.
The band are just finishing off a short Autumn album release promotional tour for the new and 3rd studio album 'Good Morning America' (released Fri October 20th 2017).  The shows have taken them from the East coast across to the West coast of England and the album is now being aired on both BBC radio and Americana and Country stations across the UK.

Soundpost’s line up came about in 2015 when the six of us, whose credentials range from membership of various bands and choirs to professional music education, got down to some seriously eclectic jamming with fiddles, viola, guitars, bass, cajón, mandolin, bodhrán, flute and, of course, vocals.
The result, nearly three years later, is a rich mix of material ranging from Cajun and Klezmer to Country and Contemporary.  To date we have gigged in a variety of venues, and contributed to events such as Corby’s Mardis Gras celebrations in a country park and fund raising sessions in pubs and fetes.
Wherever, and to whoever, we play you’ll be in no doubt about our passion for live music played and sung as an ensemble… and having fun doing it.
Inspired by some of the very best folk and singer songwriters of recent times – John Martyn, Dick Gaughan, James Taylor, The Staves and Foy Vance – singer-songwriter Ren gives us his own brand of contemporary alt folk. Ren’s yearning for exploration has led to years of travelling and living out of his beloved van, Penelope Sunshine. Ren and Pen have spent significant amounts of time living in France, Ireland and Holland and a lot of his early offerings reflect on these adventures.

Joshua's current album "Rich's" is a collaboraton with his best friend Richard K Montgomery. The album has been 4 years in the making and could be described as a rock n roll opera.
