What We Do

Established in 2010, Glasgow's Helping Heroes provides a one-stop service which aims to improve access to and co-ordination of advice and support for service personnel, veterans and their families  in Glasgow.

Glasgow’s Helping Heroes work with a range of organisations across health, housing, social care, employability, financial services and specialist armed forces agencies to support service personnel, veterans, their families and carers to address any issue that affects them.

Glasgow's Helping Heroes are employed and managed by SSAFA - The Veterans Charity through funding from Glasgow City Council.

The staff are based in the Pearce Institute, 840-860 Govan Road but will meet anywhere that is convenient.

Glasgow's Helping Heroes' service is free and confidential to current service personnel, veterans and their families.

There is no minimum or maximum length of service or since leaving to be eligible, however, you must live or work within Glasgow City Council boundary.
