Meeting called to order at 6:00 pm.

Pledge of Allegiance was said.

President welcomed everyone for coming.

Secretary's Report~Mary
  • February minutes were read.  Discussion was asked for .  Motion to accept report made by Becky and seconded by Geri.  It passed by oral vote.

Treasurer's Report~Todd
  • General account: $

  • Open discussion was asked for.  Motion to accept report was made by Charlene and seconded by Becky.  It passed by oral vote.

President's Report~Dan
  • He didn't have anything to report.  He stated he wishes winter was over.  LOL
 
Vice President's Report~Damon
  • He talked about Heartland Steam and to remember ABATE U and to look into the classes they are offering.

State Rep~Mike
  • He reminded us of the motorcycle yard signs that are for sale the state "Look Twice".  They can be purchased from Micky Lint.
  • He talked about the proposed state budget.
  • He had a workers list for Heartland Steam but no one is available to work that weekend.
  • He had a State products inventory sheet, but we have no State products.
  • Last he talked about the "Write To Ride" patches.  To get a patch or rocker you have to submit a copy of the original letter you wrote and a copy of the letter received from your congress person in response.


Government Relations Liaison~Derek
  • He informed us that the "Failure to Yield" bill had been tabled.  Contact Julian Ortman to ask her to untable the bill.
  • It was talked about that the National Transportation Board's motorcycle check points in states is unconstitutional.

Gambling~Rod
  • He told us that he has received more tickets for the motorcycle raffle at ABATE U.  Anyone who want to sell more was to come see him for more tickets.

Public Relations/Historian~Mary
  • The book is updated.   Thank you notes for Blizzard Bash are being sent out to the ones who donated.

Events Committee:  Jory
  • Not present.

  •  He was not present.

Old business:
  • Plan to attend ABATE U.
  • The wash out is May 14th at 10am to 2pm.  We have motorcycle safety posters to put up.  It was talked about how much materials need to be ordered for that event.

New business:
  • Val brought it up that Becky's sister is dying from lung disease from a work incident.  Becky is unemployed.  She is running back and forth to Fargo to help take care of her sister.  Deano made a motion to give Becky $250.  Kurt seconded it.  It was passed by oral vote.
