Travel:
By Air:
There are ample flights supplied within  Europe and especially the UK to Carcassonne (50 mins), Beziers (50 mins) and Perpignan (1 hour). Ryanair and FlyBe are the main airlines serving this part of France. If you are flying yourself then take a look at the Aviators page.

By Train:
TGV from London St. Pancras, change at Lille and arrive Narbonne.

By Car:
It is a long drive to the South of France, but somehow the worst is getting to the channel ports! From there you can go East and drive down via Reims, Lyon and Montpellier. OR go via Paris and head for Clermont Ferrand and the Millau bridge ( the prettiest route ) or via Toulouse. There is not a lot of difference in time between these routes but you must consider going via Paris can make a big difference time wise if you arrive in Paris at the wrong time. You may want to consider going via Rouen/ Chatres to avoid Paris. Our most usual route is either Rouen and overnight in Orleans or Reims / Lyon and overnight in Langres. You could of course spend a day or two enroute at numerous delightful parts of France.  If you take the Toulouse route why not stop at the Appletons Farmhouse B&B east of Poitiers, it really looks like a lovely place to stay in the Creuse valley.

Car Hire:
If you are arriving by commercial airlines or train the the major companies ( Avis, Hertz, Europcar) all omnipresent. You may want to try however Location Occitane de Véhicules (LOV) which are also present in Lezignan if you fly in.
