Our Mission

The Council exists to support Government Information Technology Executives in the delivery of high quality and cost-effective services to their customers by:

  • Providing educational material and experiences for government information technology executives
  • Providing a forum to discuss and share experiences and information of current interest to government information technology
  • Developing and maintaining communications channels between Federal Information Technology Executives and Federal oversight agencies to influence information management policy and direction in the Federal sector
  • Developing and expressing consensus opinions regarding matters affecting the government information technology environment
  • Influencing the private sector in their provision of services to meet the needs of Federal information technology organizations
