ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The GITEC Summit (formerly Information Processing Interagency Conference) is the premier forum for government leaders, industry and academia to share ideas, challenges and successes surrounding the implementation, management and use of Information Technology.

Key focus areas for the conference include:

Earn CEUs
Continuing Education Credits (CEUs)—Education, training and information sharing between Government and Industry Executives is the goal of the GITEC Summit. The conference promises to provide a venue that encourages this type of learning. Sessions on Program Management, New Technologies, Career Development, Social Networking Tools (and more) will count toward CEUs for certifications.

BACKGROUND

The Government Information Technology Executive Council (GITEC) is a council of senior-level government executives organized to support the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective IT services to their customers. Current information on the GITEC mission, membership, board of directors, charter, publications, awards and other pertinent facts are available at www.gitec.org.

GITEC was formed to provide an open forum and avenues through which senior-level government and industry executives can share and collaborate on IT innovations, challenges and successes. GITEC has organized and structured an impressive array of initiatives focusing on vital, timely issues affecting the direction and future of IT, including executive seminars, workgroups, summits, committees and the annual conference, the GITEC Summit.

CONFERENCE ATTENDANCE

The conference is attended by approximately 800 federal government and senior-level industry IT executives. This includes government representatives with the following titles: SESs, CIOs, CTOs and IT Program Managers.
