Overview

I provide a collection of works which use GIS to study animal space use, with a particular focus on the analysis of movement patterns and delimiting home ranges. In addition, I present a list of useful software tools to approach these topics.

This annotated bibliography was created for the course GEO 565, Geographical Information Systems and Science (Oregon State University).

The compilation is far from perfect, so any addition, suggestion or correction is more than welcome. Just send me an email to: noelia.volpe@oregonstate.edu

Update: 2013.04.22 - OpenJUMP HoRAE added to the software list. Thanks to  Stefan Steiniger for the suggestion.
