My name is Girish Keshav Palshikar. I was born on 5th August, 1963.
M.S. (Computer Science and Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (Chennai) in Jan. 1988.
M.Sc. (Physics) from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (Mumbai), in 1985.
B.Sc. (Physics) from R.R. Ruia College, Mumbai (Bombay) University in 1983.
In 1992, I joined Tata Research Development and Design Centre (TRDDC), Pune, India, where I am now a Principal Scientist. I given the TCS Distinguished Scientist award on 03-Mar-2012. My research interests are in Machine Learning, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing and Text Mining as well as Theoretical Computer Science. I am also a Visiting Faculty at the Computer Science Department, Pune University, Pune, India and Department of Computer Engineering, Government College of Engineering (COEP), Pune, India.
