This page allows you to download the entire Right and Left sections of the Ginza Rba in the Mandaic character. The files are in the XPS format which allows easy transfer, viewing and printing if required (note that where the chapters have been divided in parts this is done arbitrarily for the purpose of viewing and downloading). The two files below are those of Chapter 1 in two parts A and B and presented here as an example. The links provide the address for the entire 21 chapters - you can download the Ginza Rba and use it for your research and study.
The Mandaic Ginza Rba consists of 18 books or chapters making up the so called Right section and 3 books making up the Left section. The Ginza Rba is plain with NO decoration, no numbers, illustrations or any other features other than text. It is noted that the text is not always horizontal in nature with some text, due to lack of space, or some later insertion runs vertically up the page. The creation of the Mandaic font eliminates poorly written and presented Ginza Rba's, considering that this is a religious book it deserves to have good quality presentation.
When bound the Right section is presented normally, note that the Ginza Rba (like Arabic or Hebrew books) is bound with the spine on the right hand side of the page. In contrast, the Ginza Rba Left section, which deals with the progress of the Soul in the after life, is bound upside down to the original - thus forming a circle, a continuation of the life cycle. The Right and Left Ginza Rba chapters and their orientation again directly identify and describe the Gnostic ideal that permeates every corner of the Mandaic faith.
