First Steps

You may feel nervous about counselling, wondering if it can really help you. I would always recommend that you come for an initial session and we can talk through your concerns and then decide if counselling would be the right thing for you. There is no pressure to commit to continue.

Counselling may include talking about feelings, ways of thinking, patterns of behaviour and life events. I would explore your issues with you and help you find the right course of action either to help you resolve your issues or find ways of coping.

We would work together for an hour in my therapy room. At the end of the session, we can either leave it there for you to go away and think, or decide on the way forward, which may include some goals.
