Synthetic Biology, Directed Evolution, and Metabolic Engineering

This is the homepage for the Gill group in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Research in our group focuses on the development of new tools and approaches for engineering proteins, pathways, and genomes. A specific emphasis of the group is placed on the development of improved strategies for engineering complex traits that rely upon the coordinated action of combinations of genes and mutations. Applications in the group lie within the general areas of sustainable fuels and chemicals production.

Openings: The group currently has several openings for postdoctoral research associates. Please email Prof. Gill directly at rtg@colorado.edu.
