Temporary slow down, picking is catching up...

Picking looks slower now, as it seems that the harvesting is catching up to what is ripe. There are still a lot of ripe berries to be had, and even more to get ripe, but the ripe ones are distributed. Word is that the bushes in the middle patch between the apple orchard (adjacent to Klingville Road) and the solar panels has been the least picked. Word is. Rain in the forecast for Thursday and Friday, so those traveling from afar might prefer to wait until early Saturday.
Cranes and geese are visiting our neighbor's fields to the north in the early mornings and late evenings. Their conversations remind us that we have preparations in order for the upcoming fall and winter, or like them, start thinking about getting the heck out of here before the snow flies. Stock up on berries, some say.
