• The research I carried out during my internship at STScI laid the foundations for the development of the Poisson Probability Method (PPM — Castignani et al. 2014a, 2014b), one of the first methods to identify protoclusters using photometric redshifts. The work subsequently became a central component of my PhD thesis, which I completed at SISSA (Trieste, Italy) in 2014 (link : here). 

Notably, using the PPM, I demonstrated that the vast majority of distant low-power radio galaxies, which constitute the bulk of the radio galaxy population, reside in protocluster environments and are therefore excellent tracers of protoclusters.
