Last Chance to get your Engraved Bricks

posted Nov 7, 2012, 9:45 PM by GHHS Aquatics

See this message online:

If you haven't gotten your family's engraved brick yet for the pool patio, the drop-dead last day to order is this Sunday, November 11!

Don't miss this last chance to commemorate your family on the campus of Granite Hills - for as low as $150! And it's a tax-deductible donation to the aquatics foundation. Engrave your family or business info. Or get one for each!

You can order the brick online or mail in your order. Get all the info here:

Patio Update

We've selected a contractor to do the patio. Once the plans are done and approved, and after we get this last order of bricks in, we'll begin construction. We're hoping it will be done by the end of January. Then you can come see your brick in place!

This patio will make a wonderful addition to the best high school pool facility in the county - a great place for our student-athletes and parents to hang out during aquatics events.

From the Granite aquatics coaches and the foundation board, have a wonderful holiday season!

The Haunted house this year is being run by the parents of our own Club Swimmer Megan Quintero.  So lets show some support for our own!

If you can volunteer please email!  If you Volunteer please let me(Joseph Schnurr) know when you arrive to check in as I will be working with the Aquatics programs for possible bonus points!

Thanks to everyone coming out to the safety swim.   We were excited to see such a great turnout.  If you know of anyone who did not come to the safety swim they can come any day during practice to sign up.
We will be working on a website soon and will keep it updated weekly.
Practices are starting Tuesday May 29, 2012.  Cost again per month.
Checks made to:   Eagle Swim
2 day - $60.00
3 day - $80.00
5 days a week and occasional extra day $105.00
Practices until June 18 are 6:00 to 7:30 pm we will go 1 ½ hours from the time the lane lines are put in from the previous rental.
Starting June 18 we will practice from 4:30 to  6:00 pm.  A full 1 ½ hours from the time the pool is ready to swim.  We encourage everyone to show up 15 minutes early to stretch and be ready to swim.
The first few practices we will be learning what groups to put everyone in.
We will send out a form to bring the first day of practice.  The form will have all the info on how to get the AAU card.  In a couple months our swimmers will be ready to purchase a USS card so they can swim in meets if interested throughout the county.
There is a 2 day a week, a 3 day a week and 5 day a week program.   We encourage everyone to go at least 3 days but we know your schedules are busy.  You can pick your days and the days can change per week.  The form we send out will have you mark which program you are interested in
The 5 day a week may have additional practices on weekends included in the fee.
If for some reason you are out of town for a week and sign up for the 2 or 3 day a week you can go 4 or 5 days the following week.
We want to start this program flexible knowing everyone has a busy life with other activities.  Our goal is to get swimmers wanting to go year around and able to compete in swim meets around the county.    This will be a year around club swim team.
Thanks you again and feel free to email any questions!
