Election of New Specialty Group Chair
There is a new deadline (Sept 15) so the GHHCSG "Vote" is now on.  This is a web-based vote and all members have been emailed the url for the "ballot" form.  If you are a member and did NOT receive the url please email me and I will resend it.

Janine Wiles is the recipient of this years paper presentation award at the CAG - see details here.
Election of New Specialty Group Chair
Members please cast your vote for a new chair who will take over the reigns this summer (check your email for election procedures).  The candidates are Neil Hanlon, Theresa Garvin, and Jim Dunn.  Watch for their biographies on the new biographies page soon.  The election will close July 27.(this is wrong)

It was decided at the business meeting this year that we would focus more attention on promoting the work that we do - watch for a new page here with biographies of members.
Forum/Webboard (coming soon)
Soon there will be a forum/webboard available for all members to post information about health geography.  In particular this should be used to post your latest publications, make others aware of useful publications etc.

CAG-Montreal - "action" items here:
The preliminary program for the CAG in Montreal is now available see, details here.  It would be very helpful if students presenters (or their supervisors) would identify their eligibility for the GHHCSG presentation award - email me please (not this is not a requirement for eligibility).  Further, would faculty/post-grads who would be willing to adjudicate the presentations please contact me.  Due to Spring teaching I will not arrive in Montreal until Thursday evening - thus, I will have to email the forms to the adjudicators.

International Medical Geography Symposia
The schedule has changed slightly - Manchester in 2003 and USA 2005 and Bonn Germany in 2007 - Canada needs a volunteer in 2009 - see details at the announcements page.
