The State and Local Government Efficiency Task Force was created by HB 2855 in 2011 to "review opportunities to provide services in the most effective and cost-efficient manner through reorganization of the way services are delivered by state and local government entities and through specific process  improvements; and consider the ability of intergovernmental agreements, existing or new service   districts and technology to achieve cost savings.  The task force shall analyze, at a minimum, the following categories ...": Elections; Human services; Natural resources; Education; and Criminal justice.  The Task Force completed its work in September, 2012.  You can access the final report here
