Road bike Tour to the Southern suburb of Vienna and a tour ride through the Thaya National Park

This has been a counter visit of of our German biking friends from Hamburg

Beate, a powerful riding lady; Dotore Norbert with an E-pedelec and a very good Li-battery has been accompanying us on our 3 day tour.

Arrival of the visitors at our home:

1st day:

visiting the Veigl-Huette, right above of the wine village of Gumpoldskirchen.

2nd day:

a train ride to the Semmering summit, riding back via the Adlitzgräben, the Schwarza river trail and heading for re-enterin the train at the village of Felixdorf.

3rd day:

A wonderful ride through the wine trail. Passing Baden (nearby Vienna), heading for the little village of Sooss.

A lunch and back home...

4th day:

Our guests left.

We decided to take the train to the city of Retz; then have been changing the train to the 'Reblausexpress'. Left the train at Langau and heading for the most small city of Austria 'Hardegg'. There we crossed the border to the Czech Republic. A demanding ride through the Thaya National park concluded our tour.

Our guest had all the luggage on their bicycle. I called it 'the stone collection' - so heavy loaded the bicycle has been.

The tour ended at Znojmo.

Our guests take accomodation. Heide and Iris have been riding home with last possible train.

I am proud on our visitors, who never complaint and have been riding with the very heavy bicycle and the stone-collection the Thaya National park..
