Fermilab Buildings

Bubble Chamber
These photographs embody an ongoing project at Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois. Fermilab builds and operates the accelerators, detectors, and other facilities that physicists need to carry out the cutting edge exploration in high - energy physics. As other projects are funded and completed, areas and objects become desolate and obsolete. This interplay between the passage of time and man's discoveries reveal little secrets left behind at the hand of man. Each mystery uncovers a perception of the unknown. This antiquated harmony between the unknown, research, and understanding is what I am drawn to as I photograph.
