As the name implies, concentric patterns are the ones created by arraying polygons at a point. The patterns can vary in their complexity and shapes according to the poasition of the center of array and the number of arrayed polygons.
The image below is created using polygon with 16 sides.
The same pattern with different rendition resembling a paper toy that we used to play with as a child. I haven't seen one around these days but they were fun to paly with.
