Welcome to the Global Ecovillage Netowrk Oceania and Asia (GENOA) Intranet - where we organise the network. To get involved:
  1. Visit our public website for news from our region, the ecovillage directory, marketplace and more. 
  2. Join the GENOA broadcast email list to receive occasional news/announcements from GENOA. (make sure you select the option to receive emails). To send an announcement to this group email: genoabroadcast@googlegroups.com. Announcements are moderated. Gmail users, your emails from GENOA email groups are probably in the "promotions" tab, or possibly the social tab. Click here to learn about gmail tabs and how to change the way they work
  3. Join the GENOA facebook group to keep up with what is happening. 
  4. Create a personal profile on our public website and begin participating in the social features, such as adding an ecovillage listing, contributing news articles, adding items to the marketplace etc. Anything added is, of course, subject to moderator approval. If you need help, please ask Aku (akanchhya@gmail.com) or Tong Xin (newoasisforlife@gmail.com).
  5. Complete the GENOA Interest Form to volunteer your skills (or resources). 
  6. If you are a GENOA country representative, then join the GENOA countryreps email list. (make sure you select the option to receive emails). Membership is subject to moderator approval. To send an announcement to this group email: genoacountryreps@googlegroups.com. Announcements by non country reps are moderated.   7. Join the GENOA proofreaders email list if you wish to volunteer to help us proofread articles in English. (Make sure you tick the option to receive emails). 
  8. Read about our unique mandala organisational structure and GENOA's levels of involvement offered to understand the way we work and then join an email list/online discussion group for whatever pods you wish to be involved with. 
English is a second language for most of our members. Always write concisely. Use dot points. Provide a 10-15 word summary at the start of longer texts/emails.
