number of organisation provide free access to online lectures.  These lectures have been made available solely for the purpose of educating healthcare professionals.  To access some of the lectures you will need to register with the relevant site to confirm that you are either a doctor in training or a medical student.

Cardiovascular Diseases

Prof Martin Cowie has organised a series of conferences to provide updates on cardiovascular disease management at the Royal College of Physicians, London.  You can view the key presentation here.

Respiratory Diseases

The European Respiratory Society provides a series of excellent talks on common respiratory conditions.  You can watch them here.


A series of introductory lectures about diabetes management have been posted here by diabetes specialists.  The meeting was sponsored by Boehringer Ingelhein, a pharmaceutical company.

The American Diabetic Association has posted the main presentations from their conference in February 2013 online.  You can watch the presentations here.

Renal Medicine

Professor Neil Turner is a consultant renal physician at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.  He has posted a series of introductory lectures on Glomerulonephritis and Tubulointerstitial disease here.  You can watch the first lecutre here.

HIV Medicine

HIV in the Americas is a conference that took place in Sao Paulo in June 2013.  The organisers of this conference have made the webcasts available from this conference available for free here.

The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh

The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE) has granted free access to their excellent online webcasts of previous conferences.  To access the material you will need to register with them as an "e-Associate" to confirm that you are either a medical student or a junior doctor.  You can register here.

Clinical Radiology

The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) provides free access to a series of lectures on clinical radiology.  These lectures have been approved for CPD points by the RCR.
