The aim of this one-day workshop is to bring together researchers working at the interface of epidemiology, genetics and modelling in order to present techniques as well as concrete examples of how modern infectious disease epidemiology makes use of genetic data to understand host-to-host transmission, community outbreaks and evolution of pathogens.

The GenEpi day will take place at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, on Wednesday 10th of April 2013. It's free but registration is required as the number of place is limited to 50 people.

The workshop will be split between lectures in the morning and tutorials in the afternoon. Participants are expected to bring their own laptop and to have installed the tutorial software.
