Gene Bernshtam believes that good work ethic is important to achieving success. The real estate development and investment professional was born in Eastern Europe, making English his second language. He is a graduate of Loyola Business School with a degree in finance. He received Series 7 and 63 licenses that enabled him to work for an investment banking firm directly after college. He then started an auto business and a real estate company. His hobbies include collecting and restoring classic cars, traveling, scuba diving, and weightlifting.

Career and extra-curricular activities

Gene Bernshtam has been a CEO of a number of companies. He is currently leading Avalon Holdings LLC and its affiliated entities. Avalon is a commercial real estate investment and development firm that specializes in apartment buildings and mixed-use properties. Investment, development, management, repositioning underperforming real estate assets, and consulting services are the company’s overall focus. The company also selects the design for a property, usually with a modern theme, paying attention to a home’s exterior and interiors. Right now, the firm is expanding in Chicago and Miami with the goal of providing users with houses they will love.

Aside from being a real estate professional, Gene is also a car enthusiast, collecting and restoring classic automobiles. He is a member of the Ferrari Club of America (FCA) and the Lamborghini Club of America. He is also a member of the Illinois Secretary of State Licensed Auto Dealers.

Gene has received many awards from joining judged classic automotive concourses all over the country. He also shows his support for several Chicago aldermen by attending fundraising events.
