I am a native of Colorado and graduated from Arvada High. I love Colorado and enjoy all of the wonderful activities available here. I have traveled all over the world and always get homesick for the Colorado mountains. I always wanted to teach. I began my studies at CU in the Math arena, dreaming of becoming a Math teacher. I took Spanish classes as my elective for graduation. But, as I began to learn the language, I fell in love with the culture, people and study of Spanish. I graduated with a major in Spanish and Mathematics and with a license to teach both.
I love learning! I am amazed by the power of the mind and how we learn. My doctoral studies are in how we learn and how we move into deep knowledge. I am intrigued with the study of the brain and how we use it to learn quickly and retain the information!
This is my 19th year teaching, and I still love every minute of it! I have been at Chatfield for 13 years and am blessed to work with amazing students each day!~
