This website was established to allow all seniors attending any public high school located in Gibson County the opportunity to apply for the Gibson County JumpStart Scholarship. Please read the following important scholarship guidelines.

High school seniors who graduate from any public high school located in Gibson County AND have been accepted to an eligible area college?
Students apply online. Applications are marked at the time of submission.
The first 50 applicants who meet all criteria and apply by April 1 will be awarded the scholarship.
The scholarship award amount is $500.
This is a one-time award.

Students must be graduating from any public high school located in Gibson County
Students must enroll in the first fall semester after high school graduation at an eligible institution of higher learning following high school graduation
Students must use the entire scholarship amount in their first fall semester after high school graduation
Students must attend an institution of higher learning that is within or contiguous to Gibson County (see the list of Eligible Area Colleges)
There are no academic requirements to receive this scholarship.
What about financial need? Is there a limit based on my income or that of my parents?
This is not a need-based scholarship. Financial income of recipients or their parents is not considered.
The Gibson County JumpStart Scholarship Program is funded by the Gibson County, Tennessee Commission on a year-to-year basis and the amount of the scholarship is based on the availability of funds. Continuation of the scholarship is contingent upon funding by Gibson County, Tennessee Government.
