  • Happy Mother's Day to all of our great band moms out there!  You guys are doing a terrific job raising some fine young men and woman!  Enjoy your day!
  • CONGRATULATIONS to the class of 2021!  We are proud of you and wish you nothing but success in the future!
  • Wow what an incredible week we have had from the Strawberry Festival Opening Ceremonies, the ToR President's visit, our performance at the Strawberry Festival, Mass Band performance at the parade, and the President's Fundraising Gala on Friday night!  It has been one special week and I hope EVERYONE has made memories that they will look back on for a lifetime!  Thanks to every student and parent who made any part of this week possible!  We simply couldn't do what we do without your help!
  • For those of you who haven't seen the show trailer for next fall's show it has been placed along with the theme shirt design on the website at  It is the same show concept that we released last spring for this fall that we never performed but this show will have Mr. Agee's new and improved takes on it to make it unique to him and special for all involved!
  • Seniors need to make sure if they have any equipment (instruments, mouthpieces, etc.) that belong to the band that they get it back to the band room this week BEFORE graduation on Friday.  We will take inventory on Friday during class.  If it is not returned by Friday there will be a hold placed on their diploma until the equipment has been returned.  Same goes for anything that they have in the band room...they MUST get this out by Friday or it was discarded.  This could include practice/marching shoes, socks, gloves, clothes, etc.
  • Any graduating seniors/parents or students not participating in the Fall 2021 band/parents will be removed from the email list at some point this week unless you email Ms. Sharon and specifically ask to remain on the list.
  • All seniors and senior parents will be removed from the "Class of 2021 Remind Group" at the conclusion of this week!  Any student/parent wishing to still receive the Remind message will need to sign up for the alumni student/parent group which can be done by clicking on this link:
  • All debts MUST be paid this week before any students will be allowed to graduate or attend the first June rehearsal!
  • We will start playing through the show music this week and working on graduation music.  Students will need both concert and marching instruments at school this week.
  • TOMORROW NIGHT will be the band's freshmen orientation @ 6:30 in the band room!  All student leaders who were announced for the fall are REQUIRED to attend!  They need to be there at 6 to help welcome the incoming freshmen and their families to Gibson County HS.  We will need some parents to help preparing/serving the food and also parents available to answer questions and make them feel welcome as well.  Please contact Tina Eddlemon at  if you are willing to help.
  • Graduation is THIS FRIDAY NIGHT @ 6:00 pm in the stadium!  All non-graduating concert band members are REQUIRED to play for graduation.  All students need to be in their seats on the field at 5:15 dressed in concert attire!  All equipment will have to be moved back to the band room before students will be dismissed to leave.
