Rehearsal Schedule for the week:
- Monday - Jazz Band (3:15-4:30)/Fall 2021 Percussion Audition Clinics (5-8) - Band Room
- Tuesday - Woodwind Ensemble (3:15-4)/Saxophone Ensemble (4-4:45)- Band Room (NOTE: DAY CHANGE FOR THIS WEEK ONLY!)
- Wednesday - Brass Ensemble (3:15-4:30)/Low Brass Ensemble (4:45-6) - Band Room (NOTE: DAY CHANGE FOR THIS WEEK ONLY!)
- Thursday - Middle School Concerts - 6:30 - Theater - LETTERING CREDIT OFFERED!
Announcements:
- CONGRATULATIONS! to our 17 band students who participated in Solo & Ensemble last Thursday! All 17 received a rating of Superior (I) or Excellent (II)!!! Great job by all these students!
- Thanks to all those who came out to the concert this past Tuesday night! Great talent demonstrated by all of our students and staff!
- Sock orders + $$$ are due TOMORROW! Put all order forms with money in an envelope with your student's name on it.
- We will continue our Fall 2021 Color Guard Audition Clinics TOMORROW from 3:30-5 in the main gym!
- Tomorrow night we begin audition clinics for any student wishing to be a part of the GC Percussion Section for this upcoming fall! These clinics will be each Monday and Thursday from 5-8 in the band room with the exception of this Thursday due to the middle school concerts, Spring Break, and April 15th due to the Pops Concert. All students are EXPECTED to be at ALL clinics in order to earn a spot in the front ensemble or the battery for the fall. All absences should be cleared through me or Mr. Tico!
- Mrs. Sharon will begin Fall 2021 Drum Major Audition Clinics THIS WEDNESDAY! Clinics will take place on Wednesday and Thursday and auditions will be on Friday! All persons interested in auditioning MUST complete a contract located on the band room table and return it BEFORE attending the clinic on Wednesday!
- Middle School Concerts are THIS THURSDAY NIGHT in the theater @6:30! The same protocols that we followed for our concert will be followed for theirs. Lettering credit will be offered for those students who attend from beginning to end! Let's come out and support the future of our band program!
- Continue to pay for debt from this past fall. Please take care of this ASAP! Check your CutTime statement at www.cuttime.net for specifics on what is owed. If you have questions contact Lawanda Landrum at llandrum.gibsoncpc@gmail.com.
Upcoming Dates: - March 29-April 2 - SPRING BREAK! NO SCHOOL OR REHEARSALS!
- Thursday, April 1st - The 2nd Pasadena payment of $600 is due to Performing Arts Consultants. The links for the payments are below. Contact PAC at 1-800-872-3378 with any questions that you may have. All fundraising monies that your student earned in the fall or through cheesecakes/sausage/bacon should be applied to their accounts at least 2 weeks prior to the due date of the payment. Check your accounts to see if you see any discrepancies.
- Week of April 5th - Color Guard & Percussion Clinics RESUME!
- Thursday, April 15h - Lettering Grade is DUE!
- Thursday, April 15th - Pops Concert - 6:30 - Theater - Attendance is MANDATORY for all members of the Concert Band!
